Worth the small fee

I was looking for an app where I could revisit Spanish grammar and build my vocabulary but I don’t have time for a University class. I studied years ago and studied abroad, however, I could not practice for many years for personal reasons. This app (and, of course other forms of studying) have moved me back into an intermediate level where I actually have conversations with Spanish speakers. I love that it tested me to see where I should start. Babbel and Duolingo did not do this and it drove me crazy starting with Hola in Duolingo and poking around Babbel to see what exactly I should study while wasting time on skills I already had. I really hope that by the time I finish B1 the app creates a B2. It is such an addiction.

I am very happy I tried this course because they explain everything. So often in other courses you are supposed to just memorize and that doesn't work for me. I need to know why! I really love the lessons because of that. I am going further and I feel more confident speaking because I am using the correct verbs etc. I teach school and many of my students are Spanish speakers. It's been hard trying to communicate when I am not sure if I am saying the verbs and tenses correctly. I still have a long way to go, but so far I am very happy working my way through the lessons.
Grammar lessons are great but too expensive

I used duolingo, busuu and a few others too. I like the approach of this app because it TEACHES!!. All others trick you to believe you are learning as you’re playing games snd answering silly questions. this app hands down does TEACH with grammar lessons. Take a notebook and pen and study snd you will INDEED learn. However it is missing many of the whistles and bells such as social networking, real pronunciation etc. No problem but given that it is too expensive I cannot see why I should continue this app. The price they charge is not justified given that it lacks many features other apps have. this app should be 50% less expensive like other apps. Otherwise I will buy a grammar book for 15$ and study it.

So far, I've really enjoyed this app. It has a lot of material yet keeps the fun of learning intact. Pros: It has the option to learn Mexican Spanish (not many apps have this) which is what I'm interested in. The price is very reasonable for what you get. The audio of the Spanish speakers is very good. The coarse material is extensive and has a good mix of grammar, reading, and writing. Cons: There are typos occasionally that need to be fixed. It would be nice if there was an easy to help correct these. There are occasionally true/false questions that can't actually be answered with the information given. Similar to, "Joe is a teacher. Joe speaks Spanish." True or false: Joe is a Spanish teacher." I file these under "not enough info." All in all, the pros far out way the cons. It is one of the best Spanish learning apps I've come across and I use it very day.
