What is COVID Certificate Check?
The COVID Certificate Check app is an official app developed by the Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication FOITT on behalf of the Federal Office of Public Health in Switzerland. The app allows s to check the validity of COVID certificates issued in Switzerland or the EU. The app uses the smartphone camera to capture the QR code on the certificate and performs an automatic check to determine its validity. The app also displays the full name and date of birth of the certificate holder for comparison with their identification document. Data protection is a top priority, and the app does not store any data concerning COVID certificates or checking processes.
1. COVID Certificate Check is the official app for checking COVID certificates in Switzerland.
2. The app allows you to check whether a COVID certificate issued in Switzerland or the EU is valid in Switzerland.
3. - An exclamation mark and a red background indicate that the presented certificate is not valid.
4. - A tick and a green background indicate that the presented certificate is valid.

6. The data concerning COVID certificates and checking processes is not stored.
7. Immediately afterwards, the system performs an automatic check concerning Swiss validity rules.
8. In addition, the full name and date of birth of the certificate holder are displayed.

10. Simply position the QR code on the paper or on the mobile phone shown with a holder app in the square displayed and the QR will be captured automatically.
